Get in the Game, Salem Witches

 

I always think about this when I read about the Salem Witch Trials. Compared to earlier accounts of witches and wizards, Salem witches are so... lackluster. At least Scottish witches of the time period claimed to be able to control the weather! C'mon, Salem, you need to work a little harder.

Inktober Chapter 20: Head, or rather, Tread

Darn my need for glasses! When I first read this list to make the story, I could have sworn the prompt for today was "head." On the other hand, it's not entirely wrong. Instead of flying, he IS about to tread on the ground. Sooner and more forcibly than he'd prefer, I expect.

Inktober Chapter 15: Legend

The overgrown forest contains goblins, ghosts, and... treasure! So says the legend. When I first decided to make all the prompts into one long story, I just went where the words took me. But as I've been drawing this story, I realized something that hadn't originally occurred to me. The monsters show up just as the wizard was CONVENIENTLY flying by to save him? The more I think about it, it seems like the wizard is responsible for the monsters just so he could save the guy and have a lackey on his treasure-hunting expedition. Be careful when dealing with wizards. Wizards have plans. #inktober2019 #inktober #samvalentinoinktober2019
